This policy clarifies the procedures for “returning” digital assets purchased on the SEAMAE marketplace (https://seamae.store). Because SEAMAE specializes in software licenses, digital credentials, and Web3 assets, the traditional concept of a physical return does not apply.


1. Inapplicability of Physical Returns

SEAMAE is a 100% digital marketplace.

  • No Physical Goods: We do not ship physical boxes, discs, or hardware.

  • No Physical Shipping: Consequently, we do not accept “return packages” at our registered offices. Any physical mail sent to our corporate address for the purpose of a “return” will be rejected and destroyed for security reasons.

  • Digital Nature: All products are delivered via “Instant Digital Fulfillment” to your dashboard or registered email address.


2. The “Deemed Used” Standard

Under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations, the right to cancel a digital contract ends the moment the downloading or streaming process begins, or the moment a license key is revealed to the consumer.

  • Status: Unrevealed: If a digital asset has been purchased but the key/credential has not been viewed, clicked, or revealed in the customer dashboard, it may be eligible for a “Digital Return” (Cancellation).

  • Status: Revealed/Redeemed: Once a license key is visible on your screen or sent via email, it is “Deemed Used.” At this point, it cannot be “returned” to our inventory because its secrecy—and thus its value—has been compromised.


3. “Digital Returns” (Cancellations)

If you have made a purchase and have not yet accessed the digital content, you may request a cancellation within 7 days:

  1. Request: Contact [email protected] with your Order ID.

  2. Verification: SEAMAE will audit the access logs. If our system confirms the asset has not been accessed, we will revoke the license and issue a refund.

  3. Administrative Fee: A 5% Transaction Processing Fee will be deducted from all “change of mind” cancellations to cover non-refundable payment gateway fees (Stripe, Crypto Onramps, etc.).


4. Exchanges for Defective Goods

“Returns” for digital goods are functionally handled as Exchanges.

  • Defective Keys: If a software license key is proven to be invalid or “already redeemed” prior to your purchase, SEAMAE will provide a replacement of the exact same product at no additional cost.

  • Process: You must provide digital evidence (screenshots/video) as outlined in our Warranty Policy.

  • Timeline: Replacements are usually issued within 24 hours of the defect being verified.


5. Fraud Prevention & Chargebacks

Because digital goods cannot be “returned” in the traditional sense, some users attempt “Friendly Fraud” by claiming a refund while keeping the software.

  • Revocation: In the event of a refund or return, SEAMAE and its Vendors reserve the right to remotely deactivate or blacklist the license key with the original software issuer.

  • Blacklisting: Users who abuse the return policy to gain free software will have their identity (verified via KYC for Vendors or transaction hashes for Buyers) permanently blacklisted across our ecosystem.
